Thurston County Miniature Aircraft Association

We are an AMA Chartered Remote Control Airplane Club

Thurston County Miniature Aircraft Association is a group of individuals with a love of flying radio controlled model aircraft.

The flying field is in rural Thurston county, on land owned by the Evergreen Sportsman’s Club.
The site includes a 600 foot runway and approximately 10 acres of overfly area. We have a club house and storage container on the property.

We welcome new members and encourage all interested parties to visit the field and become interested in model aircraft. Generally there are members available to provide training and there are usually members flying a variety of model aircraft when the weather permits.

We normally have monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of the month. During Covid-19 meetings have been suspended and Izzy’s Pizza has permanently closed. We have infrequent meetings at the field to conduct business. There will be a meeting November 17, 2022 at 6:30 PM at the gun club clubhouse. Future meetings will be announced on the Club Reflector.

DIRECTIONS TO THE TCMAA FIELD

  1. At exit 95, travel WEST towards Littlerock
  2. Road name changes to Maytown Rd SW, go past Farmboy restaurant. Follow road to stop sign at Littlerock Elementary. – 2.8 mi.
  3. Keep STRAIGHT past the Chevron Station onto 128th Ave (SW) to the top of the hill – 0.8 mi.
  4. Turn LEFT (South) onto Mima Rd SW – 1.3 mi.
  5. Turn RIGHT (West) onto Bordeaux Rd SW (first road to the right) – 0.7 mi.
  6. Turn RIGHT (North) onto Marksman St SW (first road to the right) – 1.3 mi.
  7. Follow Marksman until you see a yellow mobile home, turn right onto gravel road in RV area of the Evergreen Sportsman gun club (almost turns back onto itself)
  8. Follow the road to the “the brush”, there will be a cable gate that is ‘open’. As a courtesy, please sign our guest book located in the green shelter just inside the gated area
  9. Follow the gravel road along our runway and observe 10 mph speed limit. Please be cautious and watch for landing/departing aircraft
  10. The parking lot/pit area is at the end of this road
